Little Island Gems

Shack Island is a cherished piece of Nanaimo, BC's history located near Piper’s Lagoon Park. In the 1930s, local families built simple cabins here to stay close to rich fishing waters. Today, these brightly painted summer shacks remain in the same families, passed down through generations—not for sale, but held in trust to preserve their rare and colorful legacy.
